In 1979, British Airways was the world’s first airline to introduce the short -500 version of the Lockheed L-1011 TriStar, with a range of more than 10,000 kilometres. Only four years later, the airline sold its six -500s to the Royal Air Force, where they were converted into refuelling planes. The model with the registration G-BFCB, named ” The Harry Wheatcroft Rose”, is released as a limited edition of 2,500 pieces. All the die-cast aircraft from the Herpa Wings range are made to an exceptionally high standard, both in terms of the detailed Tampo printed liveries and the quality of the construction। Die-Cast-Collector is proud to be an official distributor of Herpa products.
